This was a fascinating tour!! We had 3 more days in town, so we started with it in order to get the lay of the land. Our guide, Kevin, was so incredibly knowledgeable & was a perfect fit for what we wanted to accomplish. We traveled to & learned about places that we never would have thought of to check out. I can’t say enough about this great city & tour guide. It completely exceeded our expectations!!!

This tour was great! I wish we did it on our first day in SF instead of our last day, because our tour guide, Kevin, gave us so many suggestions for dinners & things to check out. I loved how we were able to take all the different forms of transit and see so many different things that you wouldn’t normally, if you were exploring on your own.

Our tour with Kevin was GREAT! He is a fabulous tour guide & shared all sorts of fun facts & hidden SF favorites. He didn’t rush us, but made sure the tour ran smoothly. His personality was extremely engaging & made the group feel like old friends. The tour was strategically designed to cover maximum highlights & built in breaks when we took public transit. This tour could not be any better!

Tour is amazing. Our guide, Kevin, was knowledgeable, friendly, courteous & fun. He knows the insider tricks to get the best out of SF – from hidden stairwells, to lost tunnels, to the best street art. Also free fortune cookies :-).
We got to ride historic cable cars, MUNI & BART.
We got amazing views of the bay, hills, Golden Gate Bridge & many must-see sights, from unique vantage points beyond the reach of a bus tour.
This tour is really good value – all transport is included.

Nob Hill to the Haight Tour

Nob Hill to the Haight tour

$60 / pp
Includes all metro travel

An easy walking distance

9am - 1pm (4 hours)
Explore SF in the morning

Spend a morning getting to know the real S.F. on our Nob Hill to the Haight tour. You'll traverse the city on cable-cars, trains and buses as you learn the history, experience the culture and see the beautiful architecture of this amazing city, with its distinct, historic neighborhoods. You'll also be sure to avoid the crowds at the usual tourist mosh-pits, see some hidden spots that only locals like us know about, and create some unforgettable memories (and photos!).

We’ll start your tour in downtown San Francisco, near Embarcadero, when we take the cable-car up to Nob Hill. This is where the railroad millionaires of the nineteenth century built their mansions (which gave the area its name), because of its central location and fantastic views. From there we take a cable-car and then a train to City Hall. After going inside this magnificent, historic, building, we walk over to nearby Hayes Valley, which is a great place to get a morning coffee, if you need it.

After that we head to the Castro, a hugely important symbol in the LGBTQ+ movement and a fascinating and fun neighborhood, which you'll learn all about. We finish your Nob Hill to the Haight tour in Haight-Ashbury, which is forever associated with the Hippie and anti-Vietnam War movements. By this time you'll be hungry and you're in a great place to get lunch (unfortunately magic mushrooms are no longer allowed on the menu).

Our tours can sell out. If you can't make a booking email [email protected], telling us when you want to go and how many guests are in your party. If we can squeeze you in we’ll let you know.
